***On Friday afternoon, just as we said on the show Friday Morning, The Obama tried to wiggle out of his minister's denounciations of American by implying that he had never heard many of the hate filled statements of his mentor and spiritual advisor.  Buuuuut, of course that isn't holding water.  This is from Kristol's column in the NYT:

But Ronald Kessler, a journalist who has written about Wright’s ministry, claims that Obama was in fact in the pews at Trinity last July 22. That’s when Wright blamed the “arrogance” of the “United States of White America” for much of the world’s suffering, especially the oppression of blacks. In any case, given the apparent frequency of such statements in Wright’s preaching and their centrality to his worldview, the pretense that over all these years Obama had no idea that Wright was saying such things is hard to sustain.


Oops.

***It is time for the US Supreme Court to get rid of the DC gun ban and, hopefully, unconstitutional gun bans across the U.S.!

***Zoning out of 'pay-day' lenders.  Other than adult entertainment, what else could be on the block to zone-out?  Bars, buffets, big-box stores...It seems that Spfld govt should do more to work with Econ Dev folks to attract businesses they want rather than trying to zone out legal enterprise.

NOAA: Coolest Winter Since 2001 for U.S., Globe
March 13, 2008

The average temperature across both the contiguous U.S. and the globe during
climatological winter (December 2007-February 2008) was the coolest since 2001,
according to scientists at NOAA's National Climatic Data Center in Asheville, N.C.
In terms of winter precipitation, Pacific storms, bringing heavy precipitation to
large parts of the West, produced high snowpack that will provide welcome runoff
this spring.
