The Day the Ground Shook

***Stuff you won't get anywhere else.  The Wabash Fault:

This is from the Central United States Earthquake Consortium.  Great People...go there!

***This guy just CANNOT stop himself for using over the top tactics to try and get his way.  There might not be anything illegal about asking/telling social service agencies that they need to be on board w/Blago's tax and spend ways but this whole thing just stinks!

What group will get their arm twisted next?  We've had the ag community, state universities, 'Step right up' for your indoctrination training...

***Nice headline - Callahan wants to Cut Gas Tax in Half - but as with most Dem proposals, they want to give you back a little money and then dig deeper into your other pocket:

Callahan estimated the gas-tax cut would amount to about $12.5 billion per year, while she would increase the tax on oil companies by about $15 billion — $12.5 billion to fund road construction and maintenance, and $2.5 billion for alternative-fuel research and development.

Who believes that the tax increase on oil companies won't get passed along to consumers?  Anyone?  Anyone?  Anyone?

Why can't the Dems just cut taxes & cut spending and be done with it?

***Once again, Kelm & Kirk, right on target.  We told you that the transportation goons in Chicago were not finished with our tax money this past January.  Well, they are already back demanding another $10 BILLION.

***Howard Dean is starting to get pissy about the Super Delegates.  He wants them to tell him who they are for NOW.  What happened to Democracy in the Democratic Party?  Oh, that's right, it never really existed...

***This is how far the loony ecowarriors are willing to go.  TIME magazine is now comparing global warming to WW II.  Not only should the Iwo Jima vets be outraged, all WW II vets should be mad.  Much of Europe, Africa & Asia should be pissed at the comparison & Jewish people around the world should be cancelling their subscriptions.
