Back at it

After a couple of days off from the site, we're back at it:

***So, Hot Rod is going to 'improve' the ethics reform bill that managed to pass the Senate in the waning days of the Spring Session.  Of course, he is not going to do the people's business, he is going to do his business:

Gov. Rod Blagojevich says he is "filled with enthusiasm" about a reform measure sitting on his desk that would prevent state officials from taking campaign cash from most state contractors. But he won't sign it. Instead, he said Monday he will rewrite it and send it back to lawmakers, including yet-to-be-revealed additions.

Who actually thinks he is going to make the bill 'better'?  It is pathetic as it stands and surely Hot Rod is going to gut anything that will impinge his ability to raise gobs of $$$ from contractors & vendors.

***This is very wrong & Mastercard should rot in hell for doing this to Mr. Bill.  No, nor our Bill.  THE Mr. Bill.

***Even the 'conservative' Chicago Tribune has bought into the Global Warming BS and is clamoring for the failed approach of the Lieberman-Warner cap bill before the Senate.

This is a far better take on this piece of crap bill from Ben Lieberman.

***Happy to see the IL media is finally realizing that the HUGE pay raises could easily take effect even though they there is no money appropriated in the budget.  We talked about this yesterday while the other media outlets were buying Senator Halverson's crap about how there is no money for the HUGE legislative pay raises...
