***If it's Monday, that must mean that Dickie Durbin called for another hearing on Sunday. Yep. He sure did.
***That's right. CMS hasn't provided the oversight commission w/any numbers or reasoning behind HotRod's blantantly political move to transfer 120+ IDOT workers to someplace down South. They thought they sent the numbers but, really, they hadn't. And they got called on the carpet. Good.
During a board meeting Friday, Bedore said he wanted the Department of Central Management Services to provide information about how the vacated ISP offices will be used. Bedore said he requested the information a month ago and never got it.
“I haven’t seen that. You’ve had five weeks,” Bedore said to David Vaught, deputy director of property management for CMS. “It is utter contempt of this committee.”
Vaught said he thought the information had already been given to the board but said it will be provided before the board’s next meeting in July. CMS is the leasing agent for state government.
Thank goodness someone is looking out for Springfield.
