Huh?

***So, now Crazy Rod says that state employees who don't want to move to Harrisburg from Spfld can stay and that new jobs will be found for them at the same salary with almost the same duties.  Um, wasn't this done to 'same money'?  Again, Rep. Poe is right on target when he said yesterday that the Admin should just spend the $$$ in Harrisburg to create new jobs down there.  But, Crazy Rod doesn't do things in a 'normal' fashion...

“Nothing will change in terms of their quality of life, their income and their benefits or their commute to work, to varying degrees,” Blagojevich said. “They’ll be in the Springfield area, so they’ll be close to home, if they choose to stay here.”

Oh, and, there are going to be more jobs moved around the state:  Other places in need, such as Chicago’s south suburbs, could see relocations from Chicago or Springfield to provide an economic benefit and put government closer to people in far-reaching parts of Illinois, he said.

So, instead of working with mayors and Chambers and industry to create real, long lasting jobs, Crazy Rod is going back to the Hard Left playbook and providing govt handouts for 'struggling areas'.  Doing the hard work of actually creating jobs and wealth is way out of Crazy Rod's league.

***Steve Huntley has a good column today about the need for more Republicans in Spfld.  Leader Cross has a new plan that he will unveil on Tuesday.

*** Rich Miller's column looks at The Obama & the mess in IL.  Miller thinks The Obama should come back to IL and fix the mess:

So, I have a different solution. One that would almost assuredly tell us whether Obama can survive the presidency's unimaginably hostile environment.  Let's make him come back to Springfield and solve the gridlock.  Sen. Dick Durbin said months ago that he'd rather go to Iraq and work on that mess than stick his nose into the unending war between Gov. Blagojevich and House Speaker Michael Madigan. I can relate.

I think we all know that The Obama isn't coming back to IL except to scoop up more campaign money and have a nice photo-op on the lakefront with his kids.  He isn't going to touch this mess with a 100-foot pole.  He didn't do anything while he was in Springfield as a State Senator and he hasn't done anything for IL since moving to the US Senate.  Why start now?

***Ooops.  Guess The Obama's plan [whatever it is today] for Iraq isn't winning over commanders.
