***This is another HUGE mistake by The Obama.  To allow a 'unity' vote for HRC at His convention.  The Obama needs to put the Clinton machine in its place - the back row of the bus.  But, hey, this will certainly end up being good for McCain and winning is what it is about...

***Even tho he is a huge Cubs fan, Bill Murray is still very, very cool.

***School 'reformers' who are supported by the big ED unions are always quick to declare that vouchers don't work:  If we are to make headway in boosting student achievement, failed ideas such as vouchers cannot be part of any genuine reform plan. These schemes to divert taxpayer dollars for private-school tuition have not been shown by any credible research to improve student achievement. That's why voters repeatedly defeat vouchers, opting instead to strive for excellent neighborhood public schools for every child.

Of course, there haven't been any large-scale voucher programs attempted anywhere except perhaps Milwaukee.  And, in Milwaukee, the program worked fine for urban kids in failing schools.  And, there has been a tremendous amount of time and money spent looking at how public schools work or don't work.  But 'reform' is essentially only about one thing:  money, more federal money.

***How is it possible that the Nat'l media missed the Edwards scandal?  The NYT details the appearant length to which it was covered up by the campaign.  This is a half-hearted effort to divert the issue from the media simply ignoring a major issue during the Dem primary to "See.  It would've been REALLY hard for anyone to discover this story."
