***Sox Win!  Are they going to win the whole thing?  Probably not.  Did they win one in the ALDS?  Yep.  And, that is all that matters. 

***There is all kinds of hang-wringing and faux outrage by the Libs and their close friends in the media today about the McCain campaign bringing up Bill Ayers and Chicago politics.  Heaven forbid.  This type of political warfare is how The Obama rose to the position in which he finds himself.  The Obama is the child of Chicago Democratic warfare - he kicked incumbents off tickets; he ran against those he felt were weak; he dropped damning oppo research at the right time; and he cozied up to the far-left loons of Chicago Democratic politics when it benefitted him. 

Now, of couse, The Obama and his media pals don't want to discuss THAT Chicago.  Kass sums it up:  But any child in Illinois knows the Chicago Way leads through the most politically corrupt city in America, in a politically corrupt state, where muscle trumps reason, where Democratic warlords brazenly promote their offspring into public office, where even souls are offered up for sale.

The national media have never wanted to understand, much less expose, political corruption here, or examine how Obama prospered under the Daley machine's guidance. A trip down the Chicago Way would force them to re-examine their ridiculous narrative that sets Obama as a political reformer riding a white horse, or is that a winged unicorn?

***The AP got into the act, again, this weekend.  First, they published an 'analysis' by one of their 'writers' with claims like this:  And though she may have scored a political hit each time, her attack was unsubstantiated and carried a racially tinged subtext that John McCain himself may come to regret.  Of cousre, this comment was unsubstantiated and just because this writer labels something 'racially tinged', that doesn't mean it is so.

This 'analysis' then goes on to repeat many of The Obama's claims about he relationship w/Bill Ayers:  In her character attack, Palin questions Obama's association with William Ayers, a member of the Vietnam-era Weather Underground. Her reference was exaggerated at best if not outright false. No evidence shows they were "pals" or even close when they worked on community boards years ago and Ayers hosted a political event for Obama early in his career.  Of course, The Obama has admitted to speaking with Ayers in the last two years, after he was elected to the US Senate.  The Obama kicked off his state senate campaign at Ayers house with a fundraiser and was hand-picked by Ayers to serve on the board of the Annenberg Challenge.  See here for a better treatment of the Ayers issue.

Second, the AP publishes a news piece; not an analysis; which says this:  But while Ayers and Obama are acquainted, the charge that they "pal around" is a stretch of any reading of the public record.  This isn't reporting the facts.  This is editorializing what a candidate for VP is saying.

The final egregious act of the Coastal Media is how MSNBC poses a sub-headline in the AP piece mentioned above.  They 'report' that, "OBAMA LEADING BY 49 PERCENT IN NEW POLL"  The Obama, they go on to report, is actually leading 49% to 42% - not 'by 49%'.
