You said on your show that the fact that 95% of african americans will vote for Obama could be considered racist. 90% of black people traditionally vote democrat so why should that change for this election? That leaves 5% that are voting for Obama because he's black. The rest of the black people would vote for Obama regardelss of color simply because he's a democrat. So, for you to say that 95% of black people are only voting for Obama because he's black is simply not true. You should say that the extra 5% could be considered racist, but not all 95%.

Dem position will continue to do so for Obama. However, those that would
normally NOT vote for Obama's liberal polices or disagree with the people
who is associated with are being called racist.
However, it is equally a mis-statement to say that most
people who are voting against Obama are racist Republicans. Along your
line of thinking, which I believe is correct, most GOP voters are voting
for McCain. So, those voters that vote against Obama because of race are
Dems and Independents.

I got your point, but my point is that when your listeners say that it's racist for 95% of black people to vote for Obama, why don't you ever correct them? You know it's not a true statement but you leave it out there as truth. This is as much a disservice as not pointing out that everyone who does not vote for Obama is not racist. Why let people think the 95% thing is truth?

I may be mistaken but it was I who brought up the fact that media never comments on the African American turnout for Sen. Obama. I don't recall a listener today bringing up the 95% number. I thought I brought it up in reference to the lack of coastal media discussion regarding the 95% number even though they spend a great deal of time attempting to label the GOP or anyone who is to vote against Obama, 'racist'.
