***Illinois Dems have utterly destroyed the State of Illinois. They have raised spending by nearly $10B in the past 6+ years. They have raised taxes and fees to such a level as to drive businesses out of the state. Their onerous tax increases have not resulted in better services or programs. In fact, the spending binge has been contained to one pie-in-the-sky plan after another - all of which have failed completely.
Now, the US is poised to elect an Illinois Dem to the White House with a Congress controlled by the far left wing of that party. Nation meet Illinois, your future, if The Obama wins.
***Not always sure about Michelle Malkin, the columnist. However, her comments today mirror something we've been saying on the show and she adds a great point about privacy rights groups: If Joe the Plumber were Jawad the Suspected Terrorist, civil liberties activists would stampede the halls of Congress on his behalf. Liberal columnists would hyperventilate over the outrageous invasions of his privacy by Ohio state and local employees. The ACLU would demand the Big Brother snoopers’ heads. And Democratic leaders would convene immediate hearings and parade him around the Beltway as the new poster boy/victim of unlawful domestic spying.
This, again, shows the screaming hypocrisy of left-leaning groups. Where was NOW in support of Monica Lewinsky? Where is the ACLU when it comes to campus censorship of conservative student groups?
***Fast Eddie is going to the big house. The Fed is wrapping up all of the players. Growing up, Eddie was the guy in the middle of council wars; larger than life; and, everyone knew, crooked just like the rest of them. Go get the rest of them, Fitzgerald...
***After all of that, Palin didn't violate any state ethics laws in Alaska.
***These are the things we warned you about - Fred Barnes in the WSJ: But much of their agenda -- the "card check" proposal to end secret ballots in union elections, the Fairness Doctrine to stifle conservative talk radio, liberal judicial nominees, trade restrictions, retreat from Iraq, talks with Iran -- doesn't require spending. And after 14 years of Republican control of Congress, the presidency, or both, Democrats are impatient. They want to move quickly.
***Already, chaos in Philly. And, at the hands of Dems. Shocking.
***Closer to home, AG Madigan is going to investigate...wait for it...ROAD SALT PRICES. Ta Da! With all of the corruption in Chicago, Cook County & Illinois Govt, Little Lisa is going for the big stuff, road salt prices. Thank God someone is doing it!!!
