***The SJR calls for The Obama to unify the country.  After all, he talked about that during the campaign.  Of course, it was impossible for him to provide the country with any examples of his power to unify.  In the IL State Senate, he was in Emil Jones' pocket, did the bidding of Daley & Stroger and in the US Senate was more liberal than Tricky Dicky Durbin.

Unity?  His VERY FIRST CHOICE is to pick Rahm Emanuel as his COS.  Described by Paul Begala: Emanuel's aggressive style as a "cross between a hemorrhoid and a toothache."

***Big Shoes?  The Sun-Times is nuts.  The Obama didn't leave a shadow of accomplishment as US Senator.  He didn't accomplish anything.  He was running for President for virtually his entire tenure as US Senator.  WHOEVER replaces him for the next 2 years will be able to get many, many more things accomplished than The Obama...

***Oh, by the way, Crazy Rod STILL hasn't signed anything that will keep historic sites or state parks open.  Even though the GA passed legislation providing the money, the parks still close at the end of this month. 

This guy has got to go!

***NYT loves the fact that people turned out an voted for The Obama as a repudiation of racism or of Bush policies or of the GOP in general - take your pick.  However, they can't stand it that THOSE SAME VOTERS voted against gay marriage in four states.  The country is still center right AND many, many African American voters who came out to vote for The Obama don't believe in gay rights because of their religious traditions.  The NYT blames it on right-wing Mormons.  That makes sense.
