The city is facing lawsuits that have to be defended by outside cousel, so why not cut back on the city's staff of lawyers. With all the outside cousel we're paying, our city lawyers must have time on their hands. Let a couple go and divide up their caseload. Maybe you could combine some of the dept. heads. Instead of overseeing one dept. let them oversee a couple of related depts. After all, they don't seem to know what's going on anyway. Before we cut police and firefighters, and close the library branches, let the mayor set an example by tightening the belt on his staffing.
